Small Graphic Glitch?

Sun Feb 26, 2006 9:30 pm

Does anyone else besides me have a slight graphic anomaly with the cursor - a clump of "white," two or three pixels in size, to the right of the cursor? When I look at the cursors in the graphics files, I don't see a problem, but in the game the cursor has a stray white dot to the right of it. Looks like some stray pixels. I happens with both the British and American cursor, so I'm wondering if it's some sort of mask or something.

No big deal, but it is a constantly visible blemish on an otherwise elegant interface.

Here are a couple of screenshots.

The anomaly shows up best against a dark background. Here is as shot from the menu screen. See the "white" dot to the right of the cursor?

Here is an enlarged view of the cursor.

The "dot" shows up with every cursor, in-game and in the menu screens. If the cursor were a square (which I assume it is, with some masking), it looks like the "dot" is some stray pixels on the right edge of the square.

I'm running Windows XP Home, a Radeon X1800 with the latest driver and don't use any special cursors or themes on my desktop (just a stock XP installation with the default cursor). Hope this helps.

ok, I think I have a solution for you. Give us a day or two so that we alter slightly these cursors.

They all work perfectly. Thanks!

Strange that I'm the only one to report a problem. Guess I'm just picky.

I have not tried them in game, but if they dont give a truncated feel, they will become the official ones. Otherwise this will be a secret option (the Queeg Option eg ;) ).

They look great to me. And I'm the picky one.
