Order by fax?

Fri Feb 24, 2006 11:20 pm

Are you planning to enable ordering the digital download option online in the near future or is ordering over fax the only way of ordering this version?

I was all ready to order the download also until I came upon the whole printing and faxing thing.

????

Fax is just the first option in the menu
Just scroll down, select Paynova and you'll be able to buy on line.

That's what I did, and I had no problem.

good game!

Sorry, Korrigan, there is no such option on the digital download order page, scroll as you might (Maybe there is if you are buying the physical copy, I don't know, as I am not interested in paying an enormous amount for shipping). The only method permitted there is fax.

I'm not going through all that nonsense trouble and expense. I will wait until I can pay online and get my order and payment confirmation immediately.

It's the only way to do business in the 21st century.

Yeah, I only have fax too. I am sure this will be fixed, maybe only next week, as weekend comes.

Again, as of a few moments ago, the secure online credit card payment option is just simply not available on the digital download order page. Could this be due to the nation of origin of the person ordering the merchandise?

Maybe the service provider has a country-based list for which payment method is available for certain countries?
I hope not. If Hungary is good enough for Paypal and Amazon, they really should not ban me from using my credit card. :)

Hee hee, Tamas. I would hate for this budding young French company to lose business from the land Lafayette helped rescue from the bloody British. The US (where I am) is, after all, by far the largest market for computer wargames. I'd hate to think that we've gone downhill so far in recent times that French merchandisers and Scottish banks are saying, "Well, we don't trust those American cards anymore..."

I'll just be patient until this gets sorted out, although my hopes of spending this entire weekend learning how to play this - apparently - great game have gone glimmering at this point...

It's really not much different than another "independant" developer we all know and love(ed) when Witp hit the scene...i don't like the new technology...but i(we) are forced to live with it. In this case "learning" is the least of my worries...i would like to install this puppy and extraplilate data from there.

No, see, we of the great unwashed seekers after digital download nirvana don't get that part of the screen. Ours says only, "Nothing but the fax, ma'am."

I'm in America, and was able to download. I did this by putting in my location as the UK rather than the US. Apparently the US isn't given the credit card options, but the other ones are. That's a small issue I'd think. But once I changed that, everything went well. Looking forward to getting this started.

LOL, altough this must be completely independent of AGEOD (it must be the software of their service provider), it is highly ironic. :niark:

Mess with DD from USA

Sat Feb 25, 2006 12:22 pm

Hi all,

We are really sorry for the mixup, and we shall do a strong and pressing action on our provider Monday morning first time when they open..unfortunately, the don't work on week ends :fleb:

Some clever users have found a trick that works..going through the Brits, like during good old Georges III... well, as long as it works...

I really want to apologize for this, as we had asked for the service to be operational on wednesday, but our providing company lost 2 days in sorting out technicalities (not completely it seems) and did the usual mistake to launch something on a friday night ...that does not work fully and properly :grr:

Well, some of these guys have Internet access at home... :sourcil:

According to them, the "fax only" problem should be limited to some US customers having a hotmail address.

IS IT THE CASE FOR YOU ALL? :p ouet:

If not, what is your e-mail provider?

Btw, Hotmail address are now OK! :coeurs:

Yes, finally a few of us woke up (sorry guys, we still need a bit of sleep in order to avoid too many mistakes... :siffle: ) and worked to fix the most blatant issues.

The French language pages erraticly showing up have been fixed (or so we have been said) and the Fax / Credit Card problem too... you can order as US customers...

All we hope now is for you to enjoy our game :indien:

Thanks for your support and trust :coeurs:

...and you wound up paying the VAT, didn't you? Not for me, thanks.

It looks like the good AGEOD folk have fixed the problem, so I'm glad I waited (although last night I noodled around a little with the nationalities and found that Canadians, Mexicans - in fact, all non-Europeans - were affected just like Americans, so we need not feel alone. I tried pretending to be an Antarctican and got a pay option that appeared to be credit-card related, but when I clicked it, it cancelled my order. I must not have been convincing ...).

A bit of a humorous interlude, folks, and we move along to some great gaming from what appears to be a good company with whom I look forward to doing business in the future.

Thanks for your conscientiousness.

Didn't pay a cent more than when I went through as a damn yankee. :cwboy:

Glad to see they got it up and running, I was up running through some of the different scenarios way too late last night. :)

Be reassured, the VAT never applies to you Non-Europeans, it's our own version of the Sales Tax, just really more expensive (19.6%) :p leure:
