Proposing state visits

Playing as AH I proposed a couple of state visits to my neighbours. Some of them were accepted. What I'm wondering now is the following: is there action I must set after a state visit was accepted, because a few turns later I get a message which says, that the state visist has been expired.

Couldn't find anything in the manual - maybe I have to kick out the foreign minister by hand - or something else

As I understand it, this is merely saying that the State visit is over (You don't want to overstay your welcome.)
Probably could be worded better though....
