Thankyou Calvinus

The game has reached it's promise and I have to say it has become my all time favourite wargame at this scale....I've never been drawn in and played a game at this scale for as long as I have with WW1 gold. The atmosphere and immersion is superb...WW1 wargame is something many thought wouldn't be playable and yet here it is and it's not just good it's now superb.

As proof of how good it is take a look at the two new WW1 wargames that have been annouced or released since...and this one is the Daddy of them all.

Thankyou and well done Calvinus.

I agree, thanks to calvinus for his hard work and his support of us the gaming community.

Thanks to AGEOD for giving us this great game. I remember the discussions for years about how the WW1 time period could not make for a good strategy/wargame on computer. Many reasons were given but mainly it was the problem of how to simulate trench warfare? Then World War 1 Gold came along and showed everyone just how much fun it is to slog it out in the trenches. WW1G has executed movement, trench, and combined arms doctrines brilliantly!

Calvinus's incredible support is, IMHO the main reason for the stellar state of WW1 gold now ! The man is amazing. Ageod is very fortunate to have Calvinus and Pocus ! There are nobody else around the gaming business like these two ! :coeurs:

This game is like those rare times you go to the Smphony and the conductor (Calvanis) is so superb that for the whole concert you are just breathless!

You are a crack, man. And cracks are very rare to find these days.

Well done and many thanks for this unbeatable modern classic.

Yup, big love. :coeurs:

Great support, which is important for such an involved game - liking it beyond all expectations.

Not sure wife is though... ;)

I'd like to add my own thanks. I've had the game for ages but just couldn't get on with the sideways map so never really played it. I bought the Gold upgrade last week and I'm hooked, splitting my time between it and Rise Of Prussia. Great game......... although my wife isn't quite so pleased with you, Calvinus!!!!!!!!!!!
