Strange

Has anyone seen this? When I hit the split button, the division split and the leader name and silver, division stripe/banner went with one of the elements.

if you check the elements panel, where is the leader?

unrelated question, you have tweaked the fonts to have a bigger one, right?

--That was from a learning game that I've since discarded. Here are screenshots that include the element panel. I believe that these are from some time after(one turn maybe?) the initial picture that I posted. Since that original picture, I gave the division/infantry element to Gen. Alexander and hit the division button for Bragg again(hence the division stripe under Bragg and also under the infantry element).

Alexander was non active that turn, but did accept(combine with) the infantry/division and divisional command.(this allowed more elements to combine just as a normal division would)

It appears to me that the division stripe should have remained with the general, but moved with the infantry when I split the division. I'm not sure what I did, or if I could replicate it in my next game. But, if I do, I'll post it or turn files or something if you are interested. Have you seen this in any other games?

--Correct, I found a file called fonts.ini (IIRC?) here on the forum somewhere that I am using to help make text more readable on a large LCD at high resolution.

Great game BTW
I don't play any of my other games any more. Some day, I may have to try some of those other AGEOD games that I've seen listed on this site.

I'm not sure, but it was pretty cool! He gave up his division and allowed it to be portable so that anyone could use it(even unactivated generals). I guess that it would have even worked solo/independently(ie. a division without a general). I don't know what I did, but I am known for my ability to achieve crazy results and break stuff. I have been told numerous times that I could break an anvil. :bonk:

Off topic but, I assume you to be a Spaniard. I used to play a game called Panzer General II that had a cool Spanish Civil War scenario. Do you think that there is enough interest in that conflict that AGEOD(or modders?) could use the game engine and, of course, different map artwork to do a Spanish CW game/scenario?

I would certainly like to play it. But i fear is not a very good conflict to do in game marketing wise :bonk: It surely has muuuch less followers than the ACW! ;)
Mayeb if AGEOD some day make a WW2 game it coudl be used for modding a SCW game.
The best spanish civil war games i've played are some TOAW scenarios.
I specially like one that covered the full war. Not perfect (100% wargame, with not many political options and events) but very good.
And there were a bunch of other that covered different battles and operations.
Cheers!

I enjoy the occasional glitch in games against Athena. It can be fun to come up with historical reasons for why it happened.

I still go back and play that Spanish scenario on Panzer General 2 sometimes. I also played a couple of Steel Panthers scenarios involving the Spanish Civil War. Otherwise, I know nothing about the conflict though

I've seen similar things when some division commanders get killed you never seem to be able to shake them off and they keep attaching themselves to an isolated unit. I managed to get one general to attach to 3 different units before leaving him attached to an artillery battery.

Other general just die and disappear perhaps it relates to their activity status when they get killed ? Their divisional status remains.

* i'm playing a modded game with the CombatDeathChance feature added , so I'm getting more casualties and therefore seeing this more.

There's a SS I took a few months ago in that case mclernand has latched on to his successor as divisional commander Sherman.
