Continental Congress invites Canada to join the rebellion: Previously Congress invited French-Canadiens to join as 14th colony, but this was rejected.
"Montreal must be captured by end of 1775, loss of EP if not. EP may be gained if 3 units reach Quebec".

Has anyone accomplished this? seems this would be hard to acchieve. If one was sucessfull why not have them join in. Although I don't think this could be done.

Two questions:
1) Ben Franklin is captured, does this mean no foreign help.
2) Oneida Warband is fixed, "but can be unfixed by moving to a region of a friendly unit of power at least equal to 27". I don't understand, if fixed they can't move!

No, its the other way around ;)
I believe the tooltip is correct. You must have read it wrong.
To unfix them you have to move to theregion another of your units with higher power than the fixed unit (in this case 27, for a 26 pwr fixed unit).
It hast to be a unit. Two 15 power units will not work.

I imagine it like going there are telling the Oneidas "hey guys, look what a cool raiding party i have gathered. It will be fun, do you wanna join the party?? :wacko:
On some scenarios there is a lot of tribes you can convince to join your side by a show of force like this. On 1755 the French can gather docens of fixed warrior bands this way.
The downside is that on winter they will go back to their village and you will have to start gathering them again in spring :bonk:

At first I thought it has to be the other way around, but that's what the tool tip said. I was hoping it could be more than one unit. I checked the Tuscarora, both tribes have 2 units, one of which is a Warband, the other needs to be attacked to unfix. If a village is attacked will both unfix? I have to step out or I would find out on my own.

Hi

Usually each indian tribe has two unit. A fixed until attacked "tribe" unit and an "warrior" unit you can "gather" moving there some higher pwr unit.
I guess both will unfix if attacked, but i'm not positive about it :bonk:

I didn't know Ben Franklin could get captured? Isn't this a fixed scripted event that happens no matter what? :confused:

5% chance, followed by another event wher he might escape...

I've captured Montreal many times....

2) The warband remains 'fixed' or 'locked' until a unit of 'strength' 28 or more spends an entire turn there. The 'tribe' unit will only unlock when the village is attacked, same as many garrisons in the game:

I sent the 1st New York to the Oneida village and joined with warband, had 2 successful battles at Oswego. Warband went home, so I sent the 1st NY w/them, cultural exchange.

I did notice this, after the merger, warband will fix for four months, then are at your disposal, no need to fetch them again.
