Strange battle result in version 1.12

Mon Jan 19, 2009 6:11 pm

Hi all,

In the french forum, a thread was opened regarding strange battle results using version 1.12 (withouth mod). Pocus advised us to post on this forum.

Here is one of the "strangeness" I encountered :
In a PBEM, I launched an attack on Nashville with Grant and beat the south player. But he retreated toward Gallatin (i.e toward the north), across river Cumberland instead of going south toward the heart of Tennessee. Moreover, the Kentucky was neutral at the time of the fight !
Speaking of Kentucky, I moved several divisions over the river Cumberland to Collies Mills in order to attack Forts Henry & Donelson. Shouldn't this be considered as a "casus belli" by the Kentucky ?

Files are attached. Thanks in advance.

That's why I spent over 6 weeks back in November-December redoing the 1861 Campaign scenarios with a completely rebuilt Kentucky Neutral Add-On. Unfortunately, it's only good if added onto a v1.12a patch which is not quite ready for "official" public download yet.

see: http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=12372

Once v1.12a is "official" you could download this Add-On and load it, or wait until the v1.12b patch comes out (probably March). It will be built in to v1.12b.

I have a look at your link and I like very much the way you deal with the Kentucky neutrality. Not being able to enter this state and having to choose to break its neutrality will clear any ambiguity.
