Some weird results

Wed Oct 15, 2008 12:10 am

Let me preface this by stating: I'm happywith these results, butI dont think my opponent is, and they dont make much sense to me.

This is the battle plan. Three corps and an HQ doing an end around to Manassas.

So far so good. This little guy raises the white flag.

Now things get weird. Why did no one assist (his or mine), and how come my opponnents force diosappeared after this battle? (at least to me.)

A nd then this. It's like my original force went back to Fredericksburg and attacked across the river?

Final positions. I'd be happy to send the files to an evaluator. Also, I had an instance where my opponent did a naval landing against my passive force, yet he was wiped out. Arent you suppossed to retreat on passive? Again, I'm happy about all this, but it doesnt make sense. to me.

Thanks!

i think a even if your forces where set to a passive state, the fact that the enemy made a naval landing which many people say is a "do or die" mission i believe your forces would have used some AI of there own and repelled the landing attack anyway.

And actually Im not happy with these results now because Aryaman just smacked these guys at Frederickberg to the tune of 11,000 casualties. :bonk:

This is a PBEM game so I'm not sure if that applies, but like I said, it seems like the ai took over. The only other thing I can think of is a large Union force caused the bulk of my corps to pull back to Frederickburg, and then they tried to assist Longstreet at Mannassas even though they arent adjacent regions, or they all tried tracing a quicker path? Like I said, weirdness.

The union orders in the backup files are blank. We can't reproduce your results without them, because the AI turns on in that situation. The ones provided are 80kb, they should be around 10-15 times that size. As soon as I try to open them with the game, they disappear.
