Demo Victory Conditions?

Thu Sep 11, 2008 8:28 pm

In the short demo scenario, I have taken both strategic objectives (Wilmington, Charleston) and four other objectives. It says in the ledger I have reached the victory conditions but I always get a "stalemate" result. Is this a demo bug or am I not accomplishing something I need to?

If I can't figure the demo out, I won't buy the game, but I like what I see so far.

The bad news: The texts for that scenario are a bit unclear
The good news: They are being improved :)

Your victory points and the difference between yours and your opponent's VP counts are also checked; if you "win" the scenario, but have less VPs, your victory gets downgraded a notch; a minor victory becomes a stalemate, while a major victory becomes a minor victory.

(Others should correct me if I'm wrong; I'm not 100% sure about the various elements of this ;) )

Rafiki is right on.... the demo scenario is the same as the Carolina scenario from the full version. Here's the old discussion thread we had about it.

That's cleared it up for me too. I couldn't understand why I was getting a stalemate rather than a victory either!!!!
