Say does PvP follow the same algorithims as a normal setting game?

I mean if all factors considered the same odds as against Athena on normal...or does it follow its own different ratios and algorithims?

The maths should be exactly the same. The only thing different is the brain making the orders. Once the orders are saved by both sides, when 'End turn' is clicked then all should be calculated as per normal settings.

Except that on normal the AI usually gets extra repleployments.
