Artillery mix

Sun Mar 20, 2011 12:03 am

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for what would be a good artillery configuration at corps and army level. For defensive purposes, is the range of Parrott batteries more important than the defensive fire value of 12 lbs Napoleons?

Artillery range is only important in the first hour; afterwards, all fire combat occurs at range 1. The assault damage is fairly irrelevant, as artillery rarely participates in assaults.
