My father in law teaches english at Kenyon College and had Bill Watterson as a student. Thought he was a fine student. Watterson painted a mural on the ceiling of his dorm room and I guess he skipped a lot of classes to do so. Kenyon painted over it once he left. Bet they wished they had kept it!

It's kinda sickening how off-track this thread got at the time, but it's so entertaining that I figured i'd jump in a couple months later. I guess nobody took George up on that game?

Oh, and i ment to say, I've seen battles 15 days long...And moves that last over 800 days!!!

I had one of those 15 day battles once.

Mc and his whole army were sieging Richmond and went for an all out attack.

At the end I had more men left than he did. Leaders were dieing like flies, taking thousands of loses per attack.

I lost Bobby Lee on day 14 but still held on.

At the end of the turn I got the message I had won the game. I guess they took such a moral hit from all the losses that their moral shattered. :D

Believe me, it has a high pucker factor.

It is also the only game I won as the south without capturing Washington.

Sorry about bumping...

Wow! That must have been exciting! Just sitting back and watching your troops desperately defend Richmond...and win!
