Hi Finrod; sorry to hear you are having problems.

I can't say I know what might be causing your problem, but I'll fire off some semi-random questions to see if any of them lead anywhere.

Does it say anything else besides that line? Does the directory "C:\Program files\AGEOD'S AMERICAN CIVIL WAR\ACW\Logs\" exist on your machine?

Can you provide som emore details about your system? Which OS is it?

I just purchased the game and am having the same problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Love your other games and am anxious to play this one as well. Thanks!

Please contact me at support@ageod.com (remind me your pseudo) and send me the files in the log directory, and your DxDiag file too.

Instructions for the log files:
1. Launch the game. Once it crashes, exit as you can. Do not restart it.
2. With windows explorer, go to c:\program files\ageod's american civil war\acw\
3. you should see a directory named 'logs'. Do a right click on it.
4. You should see something like 'ZIP' or 'make an archive' of this directory.
5. This create a zip archive. Please send it to me by mail.

Instructions for the dxdiag file:
To get the DxDiag file: Click on the Windows Start button, then on Run. Then type 'DxDiag'. Once you are in the utility, run all the tests, then choose to save the results into a file (on your desktop for example). This is the file I need.
