Possible Memory Leak?

Sun Dec 02, 2007 10:36 pm

My computer runs so sluggish after I run AACW that I have to reset it or deal with sluggish performance. If I run it and play a turn and exit a few times during my PBEM game my computer is so busy processing I can't even type in these forums, no matter how long after it is that it was exited. The CPU is is continually busy slowing everything down.

Hello,

There is many way to check if it is AACW which keeps memory and processor busy.
The first is: just after windows start, close every softwares (except Windows :p ), start the Windows Process Manager, look at the performance tab (Take a snapshot), start AACW and close it when you are in the main menu.
Look again at the performance tab (Take another snapshot).
Search for big différences.
If there is nothing, retry again but before closing AACW, play a campaign.
If you see some big differences, send us your snapshot and your log files, I will look at it.
Don't forget to update the game before ! :innocent:

I decided to defrag my hard drive, run my anti-spyware and anti-virus and the problem went away. Not really sure why that fixed this issue since I only had 5 tracking cookies, no viruses and the hard drive wasn't that fragmented.

Whatever, the side effects are no longer there whatever the case may have been.
