Yes, tried to remove McDowell from NE Army. Boom.

I was going to mention that the the random events surrounding McClellan didn't make much sense -- from their text, they suggest that McClellan had been put in command of McDowell's army, but he remained on the board in his assigned position...

But it's probably good that the scripted event didn't try to run that code.

had a similar experience when changing command from Beauregard to Lee in the ANV (the Bull Run scenario).

Lee was in Beauregards stack, I had 2 options =

1. Switch,
2. Demote Beauregard, but if promoted the right guy, less penalty,

I choose second option, and immediately the pop up screen tells me the game is stalling, and I have to exit - crash,

Got an intermittent crash: noticed that the + button was still available when I was multi-selecting three single-element union brigades. So of course I pressed it.

Boom.
I've sent in a log and a report... but keep an eye out for this bug: i.e. if you dare, keep poking the "combine" and "break" unit buttons in silly situations...

Oh. And then drag-drop McDowell's army onto McClellan's army: boom. Probably the best response to this player mis-behavior would be to generate a dialog: "Armies may not be merged. You may only demote your general and so disband the formation."

By the way, if you have two over-lapping armies, how do you change the subordination of corps? If I have Hunter's corps subordinate to the Northeastern army, how can I subordinate Hunter to the (newly formed) Army of the Potomac?

(I tried disbanding and reforming the corps...)

the CTD is fixed.

You can only change by having the corps closer to the new army.

When you say fixed, does that mean that we should re install the patch?

no, you have to wait for the next version, perhaps this evening (GMT) or tomorrow morning.
