AACW.exe has stopped working error

I get this error about 3/5 times starting the game. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't. I dont know why it does this. I think it stopped briefly when I reinstalled the two patches. I will reinstall the game to see if this helps.

I have the boxed version of the game patched to 1.10 then 1.15.
I'm on Windows 7 32bit.

I read somewhere an AGEod staff member saying 'this only happens in cracked versions' which if its the same error it's bs, i've owned the game for 4 years(maybe more).

Any info would be appreciated!

Reinstalling the game didn't stop the error.

Did you run the game as an administrator?
For Windows 7 this is the most common fix.
Either right click or select options. Select run as admin.
This may not solve your issue, but it is usually successful.

Yeah tried that, to be fair my laptop is dying of graphics card death. It's been overheating and now I'm getting these errors, it's probably nothing to do with the game.
I think also a complete delete of the game and reinstall fixed it, it might have been a disk error, didn't install properly? etc.
