Synchronous Movement?

To initiate this, do I select units THEN select Sync movement or do I need to select Sync movement first for each unit?

Depends. When you first chose to move an army hq and the click "synchronize", all corps in the same region appear to move into that destination, too. But you can chose it for any single corps in the same region. then it doesnt matter. Such is my observation at least.

Manual:
"Synchronized move: If in the same region, the army HQ and all subordinate corps will move together (at the pace of the slowest corps). Note: This is selected by default. In addition, when the army HQ moves, all subordinate corps in the region will automatically synchronize without needing to use this special order."
