"access denied" when trying to mod

Wed Jun 06, 2007 7:49 pm

Hi,

i have tried to mod the game, adding divisions HQs to the 2 sides, with wordpad and "Blocs notes", following Stonewall's instruction from another thread, but when I try to save the modded file it tells me that the "access to C\.....\90CSAdivision.uni was denied" or "cannot save under C\...."

Is it a problem in my computer set up (1 month old computer with Vista) or do I have to enter my serial somewhere to mod the game or what ?

I have tried to activate the AGEsettings thingie in the AACW folder, but it saves my serial and then nothing happens until I get a window telling me there is a problem and it is looking for a solution on the internet...

??

Thanks for the help.

this is definitively not a game protection thing, you can mod, hack and have crashes to your heart's content by fiddling the data of the games (not the game engine executable though :) ). I know that Vista has many invasive protection schemes, some barely allowing you to run your computer as you would like :king: , so you have to find what is the option to disable, in Vista.

not a problem on our side, sorry.

Yep, I managed to solve by getting about 47 authorisations to be able to mod things... Gee Vista c'est l'enfer...

Merci quand même.
