AAR Bull Run A-ACW vers 1.0 Union vs CSA AI

Thu Apr 12, 2007 8:29 pm

Turn 2, Richmond Falls, game over.

2nd Division under the command of a 2 star General, one 'D.Hunter', was broken up to provide a free 2 star General.

The 2nd Division was re-assembled without D. Hunter. Two more divisions were dragged into the D.Hunter Tab, an then an order was issued to combine them into a Corps.

This Corps was then sent, zone by zone, for a beeline too Richmond.

Excepting one division, the rest of the units were combined with the Army, and the Army was sent to Manassas to block any move towards Richmond.

The one division was left in Alexandria.

The AI abandoned Manassas, and went for an end run on Washington, and put it under seige.

I captured quite a pile of supplies in Manassas.

---------------------

I was left one zone short of Richmond.

I left the USMC garrisoning Manassas.

The Army then moved to Leesburg.

Johnston meanwhile took out my pathetic force in Harper's Ferry.

The lone division was sent to Montgomery County, Md.

These moves cut Bearuaguard's Army off from supply.

D. Hunter's destroyed a CSA force in Federicksburg, capturing more supplies and then moved onto Richmond.

Richmond was crushed with an Assault by D. Hunter's Corps, as the Union besieged DC with Bearuaguard's Army.

Although not what took place historically, this very well could of happened.
At the time most people did think it would be a short war.
If only D. Hunter was in charge!! :siffle:

Wilhammer:
Awesome!
I still struggle with that scenario.
