Wordpad Graphics Conversion Filter Error

Mon Oct 23, 2006 9:13 pm

Hi: When trying to open the two(2) worpad docs on the cd, I get an error
message saying that it is unable to load the graphics conversion filter for
the docs. Any ideas as to how to resolve this? Also, what do the two(2)
docs contain and are they important?

Thx!

You need to have MS Word to open those docs properly. If you don't have MS word, try using a document conversion utility within your word processor.

Alternatively, there are a few free/trial conversion tools available on the net, if the above doesn't work.

flintlock,
Thx. I tried opening the files w/wordpad 5.1, which is on my computer and that's when I got the error message.

Hi navman, the same problem happened to me as I tried that with Wordpad.
There is a conversion utility out there named "Word Viewer" which can easily
open the .doc-files on the cd or in the directory of BoA.
I got the utility from heise.de -a german pc magazine website - under the term "software" in the navigation list on the left side under the name in the search option.
I hope that helps a little bit... :sourcil:

Hi Hohenlohe,
Wanted to let you know that I downloaded the Word Viewer program
from the Microsoft website and that did the trick!
Thx again for your help.

Glad you got it sorted, navman.

For anyone else who may be looking for Microsoft's Word Viewer in the future, I've linked it below for convenience:
