Looking for a greyback...

in a new April 61-Campaign. Since Hasardeur was unfortunately forced to abandon our PbEM due to RL reasons and my other opponent hasn't sent in a turn in 5 days, I'm suffering from symptoms of severe withdrawal. :bonk:

So I'm looking for a new opponent to pitch my mediocre skills against...

I would:

- prefer to play the Union (I dabbled a bit with the CSA and did not exactely like it)

- play against any level of experience (I'm not really a AACW buff yet, but 20 years of playing the Union in various ACW tabletops gotta have taught me something  )

- not care who is the host

- like to play at a pace of 5-10 turns a week on average OR meet you "personally" in ICQ or AIM for a couple of hours a week (one or two evenings) and play "live" while chatting away about the game on the side

- like to communicate with You in english or german since those are the only languages I have any grasp of :siffle:

- not mind to write an AAR about it so that everybody learns about Your victory :niark:

If You would also be willing to play while chatting You'd better be european, because I'm from Germany and I guess neither You nor I would want to make a habit of playing and chatting at 4 O'Clock in the morning while for the other one it's just 8.00PM. When playing "solely" by mail location doesn't matter, of course. :)

If You are interested, please contact me in this thread or by PN.

Regards, Henry

Currently playing PbEM with both wyrmm and kyle. My third opponent turned up again with a turn (and a very convincing explanation for his prolonged absence :niark: ), too. So my schedule is already quite full for the moment. Sorry.

Regards, Henry :)

Let me know when you're ready. You'll be my first, Henry (opponent, that is). What time zone are you in? I'm obviously Eastern (EST). I would have no problem doing some early morning online on some mornings, in addition to regular PBeM. Of course, when you have time.

Given the fact that my remaining german opponent went into an unannounced hiatus again :grr: *, yes, there would be room for yet another PbEM. Playing using mods "should" not be a problem, either. You have PN's :)

*It's somewhat odd, really. All my PbEMs thus far with german players either came to a premature end because of real life interference or are not particularly fun because my opponent cannot keep a reasonable pace. Playing with kyle and wyrmm both, on the other hand, is a real pleasure, they're both not only challenging opponents, but absolutely reliable as well. Maybe I should stick to playing americans? :cwboy: :sourcil: :niark:

I could play with u, if u need any more opponents :) Though i'm new to the game, so don't suspect any big challenge ;)

Upps, sorry, I meant to answer You yesterday, but the wife called me off for duty before I got around to it.

PBBoeye is still engrossed in modding, but it appears wyrmm and myself will soon get to begin our new "hardcore houserules for what we old farts declare to be the real civil war" game, while my other two games with kyle and DirkX are still running (and will continue to run for a couple of months, come hell or high water). That means two, soon three or maybe even four PbEMs parallel to the NCP beta and that mysterious thing my wife keeps insisting I should also maintain in order to prevent her from filing a divorce suit. I believe she calls it "real life", whatever that is supposed to be. Women! :niark: :sourcil:

So, thank You for asking, seriously, but I'm afraid, at the moment my plate is more than full, sorry :(

Regards, Henry :)
