Cool that makes 3, any preference as to side you want to play?

Austria or Russia if you don't mind, but don't have any problem to play as Germany or France.

I hope you'll find soon the fourth player. I was never able to test the PBEM in 4-players mode, so your game is extremely welcome!

The core mechanics of PBEM work fine now, independently by the number of players (2 or 4), but most weird bugs can bound somewhere, who can say? ;)

We tried a short scenario and all works fine. If I can suggest a thing, will be more pratical if when you save the ord file automatically is done also the turn save, and if possible to give to both turn and ord file a speaking name prefix (at example interphase.march 1917.000.ord). Because of many exchanges is easy to forget what turn you're processing.

Are you playing a longer scenario now? How is it going ?

Instead of e-mailing the turns, how about trying dropbox.

the files are tiny, and it is better have the emails for backup.

Ok, I'll consider carefully this advice for the official patch. Thanks. :)

I'd like to play WW1 PBEM too. I know all the sides are taken in this game, but I just wanted to let you know I'm up for a game as well. :)

Ok done. With next official patch 1.08N the filename format will be:

PBEM_Player{Id}_Turn{#}_{phase}.ORD

That will be a big help. :w00t:

Yes, I must say it helps. Also, every time a new turn is processed, any old ORD file is renamed into BAK. Thus, you have the full backup set of all ORD files, turn by turn, phase by phase! ;)

Of course, when the official patch 1.08N will be delivered, you will have to migrate your 4-player game into the new filenaming system. Simply wait to install the patch when no ORD file is needed, install the patch, run the game and make your moves, save the ORD file(s) with the new name system, and the game is ready to continue! ;)

But when is not necessary the ord? We generate them each phase.

When the phase is just started and you haven't performed yet any action nor scheduled any order (that so would require the generation of the ORD file).

During that precise moment, save the game and exit. Install the patch...

Anyway I'll recall this procedure as soon 1.08N will be delivered.
