Strange, it's a text missing from the AGE strings files...should not happen if your game is correctly patched...never seen that before...at worst make a screenshot and send it to me, I'll forward this to Pocus :bonk:

It wasn't a problem before, when I would process my CiE games. I will load my CiE turn when it gets processed and see if it is acting up or not.

Not a big deal, it's only the colonial actions for some reason (military/commercial all show full tool tip). It's just frustrating because I have to play the cards to see the cost, and I forget all of the exact effects of each card! :)

It's not the game itself but your version, because I don't have this issue at all...now IIRC, you just need to press the Shift key to see the extended tooltip...

Its the Shift key that brings up the extra text on those colonial options.

Yes. I see it asks for a password.......Is it going to do that from now on (if I enter a password, which I haven't yet)...make me enter a password? Is it really necessary? (I'd just as soon not. Never have in the other PBEM game.)

If you enter a password, then you will need to keep in the game. The same password will apply to all games. So if you don't want to, you don't have to. However, others could look at your orders. It is your choice.

I am wondering if the combine/decombine order been resolved? For me, it still does not seem to be working, neither the buttons, nor the orders (Ctrl + C / D).

Same here.

Also, the Russian concession in China has been captured by China. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things, I just wanted to put it out that they can be captured. I love the idea along with embassies, wish they could be in our other game.

America also lost a concession (see our note in the diplomatic section).

Yes, noted this too and mentionned to Pocus, who is bound to check a few other bugs that I noticed...however, this is minor and not game breaking, and applies to all equally, so we can proceed for the time being :blink:

In order to assist in solving this, Pocus said he would need a save with an explanation of where the issue is appearing, so he can reproduce and check why

The + button just doesn't work at all, anywhere in game. It shows up but isn't clickable. When you try to click on it, it doesn't depress, nothing happens. I don't think I've pw protected the British turn, he can use that. If needed I can email it to him.

btw. Only just now noticed the dip thread :bonk: Very nice.

I've installed the WIC files over hotfix 1.03D. I think that's what most of us have done. Is that correct, could that be the source of some of the small issues? Should we be using a different version of the patch/hotfix perhaps?

I sent the whole installer and everything to Pocus, and he has proceeded just like all of us, so it should be ok for him to find out...but don't hesitate to send him a save with all remarks on what you need to see solved...

I did not realize there was a separate sub-forum just for diplomacy. Since the diplomacy is actually a thread, why can't we rename the sub-forum to "Pride of Nations - Multiplayer" and move both MP games threads over to the newly renamed sub-forum.

Partisans & Rebels

I have noticed that in the German FP, there are 6 buildable units of each of Partisans, Mounted Partisans, Urban and Peasant Rebels...this is not WAD, as these units are supposed to appear only in case of war, not during peacetime.
Can you confirm you have the same issue?

There are 2 solutions to this:

* Clean one: I'll write a script to remove all those units from FP during next hosting...
* Gentlemen's one: you all agree we are not allowed to build any of those units unless our nation is at war. Note that this won't solve the issue with some minor AI-controlled nations being able to build them, but on the other hand it could be considered as AI help...

Confirmed. I am fine with either solution.

BTW, Spain also has the North Pole as an objective.

OK, I shall probably do a fix of both issues in a clean way during tonight's hosting. I confirm the missing objective is Manilla (Philippines), due to a typo in the setup files.

PS: Spain and turkey will also be re-credited some Prestige during tonight's hosting, because wrong objectives (which indeed they owned) means lost VPs...will be about 10 for TUR and 25 for SPA :thumbsup:

NB: I noticed already a few others of such typos, and will fix them on the fly, just advise me when it occurs, it's easy to do but only if I am aware of, and I can't know what your objectives are...you can do so confidentially if you prefer :cool:

China has this unit too (possibility build it) ... so confirmed. I did not build one, but I can ...
I can agree do not build this unit until war ...

Don't worry, making the removal script was not so complex, so I'll run it tonight with the hosting, it will be easier and, in addition, will make your interface less crowded... :cool:

Belgium has the Urban and Rebel peasants.....and I did build one because I had never seen one before, and as it was small and fit into the non-Division agreement in Africa....

America has already purchased a mounted skirmisher I think it was called (hadn't seen it before), will we (those who created one) get credited for the costs to purchase the unit, or will we have to disband them, losing the resources?

Keep both of themn the fix will just remove the others from the FP, and once this one is killed, it will bot be reconstructible (unless at war)

This happened after we instituted the last fix from Phil and did not get corrected after we re-started the game. How can we fix this? Whenever I select the half ship/half infantry unit the game crashes.

Weird, I had that problem and once we re-started it got fixed.

It has nothing to do with the fix, as the fix just removed the partisans and rebels from force pool (so in effect it should not even show in your unit list, even if you had some constructed). IMHO it's related to the lock I can see on the tab (use ctrl-right-click to remove IIRC)...

I don't have any single issue like this myself. Just try to re-start by loading your current turn file and keep me posted. If it goes on, let me know urgently (by mail) so that I can see if Pocus can understand what happens.

IMPORTANT PS: every turn, I update the game and do the fixes in one same event file, called 1880WinC Gamecourse Adds.sct, and which is in dropbox...don't forget to put it back inside your Events folder, each turn!
