[Teaw] Looking for 1 or 2 PBEMs

Fri Apr 03, 2015 3:42 pm

Please don't reply on this thread, send me a PM instead =)

Settings

- Delayed Commitment: None
- Foreign Entry: Hard
- Attrition: Historical
- Automated Replacements: On (5 or 10%)
- Battle Planner: Off
- Activation Rule: Veteran
- Randomized Generals: off
- Naval Boxes: Standard
- Extended Pool: No
- Easy Supply: Off
- Traffic Penalty: Medium (Or Hard if both players are fine)
- Save Replays: If required

Clarification on the Automated Replacements: In a couple of my most recent PBEMs, I've made the experience that the game seems to offer the possibility to disregard the 5-10% of damaged elements replacement rule. Instead, only when the color red indicates a severly damaged unit, 1-2 replacements are bought. Combined with super-stacks (which I disapprove off strongly), this tactic seems to work. I think it highly ahistorical to have to buy no replacements. To avoid that, I'd like to try it with automated replacements. This would take replacement out of the players hands and simulate them being handed down by the War Ministry for example.

AI options: Irrelevant

Preferred Side (host): Either CP or WE&EE.

Email or Dropbox: Dropbox

Houserules:

- Hindenburg must be triggered by the EE player.

- No enemy troops behind enemy lines without a general (ahead of own troops in any given theater)

- Japanese may not leave east Asia.

I'm still prepared to play a game with you, but like I said it would have to be EE only.

Re the replacements mechanism - are you saying there may be some sort of bug / exploit regarding them? If that's the case, then it may be a good idea to bring this up in the main forum as well. Personally, I always use a modified 5% rule when doing replacements anyway, so I don't have an objection to using the auto-replace rule. I also don't lke the super stacks as well, so the traffic rule is OK as well (I think we discussed this last time, so I don;t have any objections).

Still looking fellas. A veteran player would be nice. House rules and settings are debatable.

Hey Byrd/Sven, i am game now, have a few house rules as i don't want a 1915 defeat as CP nor a 1915 victory as WE.
Let me know, if ok. 3 player will be good, 4/5 player is also ok if they are relatively fast.

Three players would be max for me as 4 to 5 might slow it down too much. Already replied to you, house rules look excellent.
