Quick question on forming Corps

Hello again,

Quick question on forming Corps, I've just created the Army of the Missisippi under A.S. Johnston (to St. Louis!!!!) and now I want my 2 star dude in the area to form a Corps under him.

Strangely, I can't. Is there a limit to the number of Corps I can have (everybody in Virginia is in one, got 3 or 4 there). The Army and Corps are 1 territory apart from each other.

All help appreciated! Many thanks!

Put your cursor over the army insignia (at the right end of the unit panel). Now press the shift key. That will show you the army command radius. If the ** is outside that area, he can't create a corps.

Since they are one region away from eachother, they should be within command radius.

There is a limit to how many corps an army can have, but that's usually a relatively high number. Putting the mouse over the army insignia you should see on the unit display for A.S.Johnston's army stack should give you a tooltip listing the corps under the army; how many are there?

Do you have a screenshot that shows the situation?

I'll look into this after work, and now for the dumb question:

How do I post a screenshot?

If you don't know how, then it is a smart question.

I think most people use screen capture utilities. You could try D/Ling one of those ... or ...

1. Hit the print screen button.
2. Open a graphics program. You can use MS Paint, but the quality will be low. I suggest IrfanView (free D/L).
3. Hit Ctrl+v. Now you have a screenshot. (if you have a fancy graphics program it will be File -> New, then Ctrl+v)
4. Crop the screenshot to display just what you want.
5. Save it as a .jpg
6. Use the button in the screenshot below to upload it.
