Missouri recruitment issue

Tue Dec 18, 2007 3:07 pm

Well well, this campaign is going...well :)

I just noticed an issue and i wanted to submit. Here i document the recruitment of a brand new artillery unit which spawns in St. Louis.

Problem: I am besieging St. Louis, it's not mine. :)

All towns South of the river are in my control...i actually thought this unit would spawn in Rolla as there's a recruiting center there...

The 3 stacks are:
1) Sibley's besieging force (Town is besieged and my raiders previously destroyed RR)
2) Supply Train moving to Rolla (it's empty and must be replenished)
3) Newly recruited artillery unit

It is not the first time i see this happen with arty and, if i remember correctly, St. Louis in one of my games got retaken while producing units.

These were dislodged to the St. Louis rural area (just out of town, exactly where my besieging force is) without being destroyed. There's maybe something wrong in the whole game but so far, i've only witnessed and just today, documented, this issue happening in St. Louis.

So the units were already produced when the city was taken, sound normal.

No pocus, the units were being produced in turn 1 in MO and at turn 2 St. Louis is still being besieged by my forces (and it's not in my hands and never been in my hands neither in turn 1 nor in turn2) and the units have been produced and delivered in turn 2 in an enemy settlement basically. It's totally un-normal. :)

So the production started while the town was besieged? (to summarize)

Yes the production started in MO as St. Louis was in the hands of USA and i was besieging it with my CSA forces. (Actually i had already being besieging St. Louis the turn before this production started but truly St. Louis was NEVER in my hands and there's no way my unit can be spawned there).

What GShock seems to be saying is:

1. He ordered troops to be recruited in Missouri.
2. They appeared in a city in Missouri that he wasn't controlling, but rather sieging.

Were you controlling any other valid city in Mo, which had a War supply production?

/me launches the game because he's an ignorant in U.S. geography!

St. Joseph and St. Louis are the only towns i don't control in Missouri.
