Transferring the game

Thu Nov 29, 2007 6:21 pm

Hey, I am trying to move this game over to my laptop and it is telling me there is a critical error. Could this be something AGEOD put in so people would not steal the product? The funny thing it never asks me for my registration code... am I doing something wrong.

Cheers,
Mog

Nothing like that...most likely your laptop has an OS that does not support the game or is not updated as your other computer...check the specs...

As Phil says, I have transferred the game from desktop (XP Pro) - Laptop (XP Pro) - new desktop (Vista Ultimate) with no problem. BoA too.

When you say "move the game" are you simply running the install program again or doing something other?

I burned my install program to disc and just re-installed it on each machine as I needed it. Uninstalled the program through Add-Remove when I no longer wanted it on a machine. It's now just on my new desk top.

Sounds like you are copy and pasting the directory that contains the game. If that is so you will get that error message. There should be no problem at all reinstalling with the install exe.

Thanks, I got it to work... I though I had placed the setup in the zip, but I failed to. I was transfering it via 1 gig thumbdrive.

Game runs on a mac too via boot camp or parallels/vmware.
