I'm new to the forum and have a huge interest in your game. I have a few questions if you don't mind me asking.
If I buy AACW download and one day my harddrive crashes how would I replace the game? What steps would I have to take to get the game on my harddrive again?
Thanks for any replies.
PS: I did a lot of research on what to buy and I have to say your forum support and communication to the customers is great. This is the main reason I have decided to purchase your game.

Our advice is you keep a backup copy of the downloaded game (and your serial number) on a separate HD or burn a backup CD copy. In such a case, you don't have any risk.
In the worst case scenario, we shall provide you with a free download replacement in case you are a legitimate customer and bought the game from our shop. We have already done so a few times for those who had crashed HD

Well I decided to pass on buying the game. After one year if I lose my download copy I would have to pay 10 dollars to download again.

They should take a page out of Stardock and forever support your download purchase.

Which game? We don't charge anything for a new download, even if it is one year after your purchase.

You will not have to pay if you buy the game here at Ageod and need to download again. I don't know how it is handled at Matrix (although I bought several of their games ... ) but I think people there are also very fair. But generally it's a good idea to keep a backup of any downloaded game.
Please note also that if you buy at the Ageod shop and are no resident from the European Union you don't have to pay VAT, which means the game is below 50US$

If you go to the download link for AACW you will see the charge. Here is the info:
Download Extension (1 year)
Get a new copy of your product at any time
7.95 EUR VAT inc.More Information
Unless I understand this wrong after 1 year I have to pay for a download again.
On another note I did go to gamersgate and I can get a hard copy of the game for 39.99 US dollars though I prefer the download version which they don't offer. Matrox games don't offer the game at all.

Well.....then buy the CD. If it comes to the diff. of having or not having the game? And it is very much worth having IMHO. Whats a couple weeks of playing the demo waiting for the disk to arrive? This great game + Ageod's exceptional support = Best buy.

Yes, you are right, it is written there. I never realized that. Don't buy these download extension, if you loose your download (despite of all your backups

) you will be provided with a new download. You can believe PhilThib and Pocus as they are men of honour.

I'll investigate this (this is done by our ESD provider) but I believe the meaning is that for extra 7.95 you can re-download the game during one year (kind of an insurance against crashed HD

)...
I think this is standard with them. We don't make anything on that, and we usually provide free downloads to legitimate customers who have known such technical/hardware problems (but they don't get new serials, of course

)

Well I'm the proud owner of AACW and I'm in the process of downloading now.

This is exactly what it is. I have made these purchases in the past for other games. From now on, I will buy directly from AGEod, since you work things so honorably.
Zoso, you made a wise choice, sen-sen.
