Foreign Intervention

I know it is rare and difficult, but, has anyone managed to see this happen, in game of theirs...unlocking all those French and British (and, I suppose for the Union, Mexican)?
If so, how'd it go? And if not, what's the highest you ever saw European entry go? Just curious...

I have a saved game from a player, where it happened 2 turns after the current one.

Seems like Game Over for either side if this happens.

That was me, in a PBEM April1861 scenario playing as CSA. I had already managed to take Washington and the final outcome was already decided, I managed to assult a Union city with British troops though before it was game over.

I got this in April '62 one game. I immediately switched the options to all the hardest settings, so there would still be some challenge. As a result, I took an insane number of casualties (over 500,000 by the end of '62), but still won . . . eventually.
Things I've noticed.
1. Brits & French use old style divisions. If you give a confederate general one of these divisions, you avoid the new division penalty.
2. While the French government is sympathetic to the Confederacy, apparently the French people are not. Do not load all the French garrison onto transports and leave the country. You will wind up with 'Paris Yankees'.
3. General de Lorencez has a disappearing event around September (a la Patterson, Fremont). He starts locked, until attacked by the Mexicans.
4. Admiral Farragut's fleet is a match for the British fleet. However, much can be accomplished by blockading Washington, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
5. British and French Generals are part of the same seniority system with the confederate generals. I made Lee a corps commander in Jackson's army, rather than give him his own army, to avoid some major penalties.
6. Mexicans will try to raid Texas. There is not much there for them to raid.
7. I was unable to land the BEF in New England. You just can't get there from here. Brooklyn and New Jersey made nice alternatives.
8. BEF has a lot of elite troops. These are nice to spread around to different confederate divisions.

Interesting analysis. BTW, how did you get the French and British in ?

I think I ran up a lot of VP's early in that one. Every cotton embargo and total blockade went my way. Also, I had FI set to easy.
I had not conquered any of the objective cities. I never do until close to the end. I had taken Evansville and all of Delaware.

Interesting. The highest CSA intervention number I've seen is about 35/100.

{pasternakski, this last being said in light jest. I really appreciate your opinions and presence here on the boards. In this area, I disagree with you, in that we always have to stick to historical scripts....I enjoy some "what if's" if it does not take away too much time from creating new and wonderful games}
so on to my question/dream:
Sorry for my ignorance....but is there a way to "force" (allow easily....no, force) foreign intervention......just for curiosity sake.

Well, I think if Nathaniel Lyon leads a band of Hekawi warriors in an attack on Fort DeSoto any time in 1862, there should be an automatic intervention. Kind of like an easter egg. It should be a domestic intervention, not a foreign one.
