A Few Supply Questions

Fri Jul 06, 2007 2:30 pm

Hi folks, can anyone answer the following :-

In theory if I wanted most of my supply from a particular source to travel north would I be able to increase the flow north by destroying any friendly depots to say the west?

Is there a maximum amount of supply that can be held at a depot? Does supply get lost over time due to decay? If so is this the case with both general supply and ammo?

If supply is being pushed slowly (bad weather, terrain / lack of rail / river) does it suffer losses? If so do you lose more of it than would be lost if it was pushed more quickly – or does it just take longer to arrive?

Is it correct that a supply wagon can attract supply when depleted even when not in a region with a structure? However a supply wagon cannot transmit supply to another supply wagon?

Cheers, Chris

1. this is hard for now, you can't on/off depots (planned, when I don't know). Yes you would have to destroy the others depots. But don't try too much to rationalize supply distribution this way, you would be fighting against the automated system.

2. No. Yes (there is decay). Mostly general supply, a bit for ammo.

3. no more supply attrition.
4. yes. They suck up supply from nearest structures. Supply wagon only gives supply to non-supply units.

Thanks Philippe, maybe a depot could have a stance with high, medium, low and off demand set (or just high, low) (one day :sourcil: )

Cheers, Chris
