---> AACW 1.05e quick fix <---

Mon Jul 02, 2007 4:29 pm

Hi,

Yet another small update, without a readme. It fixes 2 bugs reported today and the AI bug which prevented the Union to blockade effectively.

http://ageoddl.telechargement.fr/latest/patch_AACW_v1.05e.zip

Until tomorrow noon (GMT), you can consider this update as unofficial, meaning we need some public beta test on it, although the game has run smoothly all afternoon. If you are unsure you want to face a crash, then wait 24 hours.

The permanent link will then be updated.

1.05e is now official!

Dear players,

A quick fix (that you can retrieve in the Permanent Files Library threads or my sig). No dedicated readme here, there are very few things in it, but the AI one is rather important though:

1. Corrected 2 bugs reported this week-end.
2. Filenames have no accents (for Asian Windows compatibility)
3. Found a bug in the AI blockading algorithm, Union should be vastly better at starving to death the rebels now :king:

just to let you know, It seems to me that turn processing is somewhat slower than in 1.05d.. don't know why but the "loading USA file" thingie since to have gone from 20 seconds to a little minute or so.

On an existing game, the new naval AI will redirect many ships to the blockade boxes, so I think it can takes time the first few turns where she has to clean-up the situation.

So this patch works with an existing game?

I'm having so much game with my current campaign that I'm reluctant to take any chances with it. My blockade seems to be working fine.

yes it will works. And if you play against the Union AI, it will be better at blockading you.
