What kind of maps are you looking for goodwood. Do you just want modern maps of the whole U.S., detailed state maps, civil war era maps, etc?

Just something that is printable showing capitals and major towns of the entire US at the time of the CW. Just need it to help orientate myself, when trying to plan.

Try this link, and be sure to check under the various headings (i.e. history, articles, etc.
This is the official site of the U.S. Geological survey. Majority of maps are printable.

National Geographic also has good maps. Not sure about printable though, but worth checking out.

Hope this helps.

My pleasure.

FYI, the U.S. Library of Congress digital archives has tons of original civil war era maps. You might be able to save as GIF. and print.

About a month ago, Capon posted a couple of jpeg renditions of the game map, one screen size and one poster size, if that's at all helpful to you. Here are the links:

Those maps would make a nice addition to the "Docs"-directory that gets installed, IMHO

They certainly look fine on my crappy work monitor, can't wait till I get home so I can view them on my 22 inch screen. I hope they will print well too

A little off topic, but what is the travel between Washington DC and Richmond by motor car? There seem to be much space between the 2 capitals.

This must be in that two hour space between 3 and 5 am when no traffic is out on I-95 near D.C. then.... otherwise figure that to the outer Beltway and 3 hours from there to downtown. :niark:
