Question about disbanding Mosby's Rangers

Wed May 08, 2013 6:57 am

So it's early Jan 64 and the 43rd bn Virginia Cavalry gets disbanded, but
historically that didn't happen until after the Army of Northern Virginia
surrendered in 65. Even with the repeal of the Partisan Ranger Act there were
still two units, Mosby's and McNeill's, that were allowed to continue operations.

Is there a question hidden in there somewhere?

I suppose the question would be why the game disbands the unit almost a year and
a half before it was surrendered.

I believe they shouldn't. But I cannot find the event the repeals the Partisan Ranger Act and disbands the 43rd Virginia Bn.

If you could point me to it I will look into it and see if it might be adjusted in AACW-II.

I'm not sure. I only know it was Early Jan 1864 and the message says it was disbanded as you
can see in the pic. The message wasn't clickable, just says they were disbanded (as the 43rd Virginia
bn).

It's a random event. All partisan units have a chance to be disbanded at the end of every year. Some fixed militia also face this.

Ah, that explains it then. It was the beginning of the year.
