Is there a walk through as to how to set up a PBEM game?

In the manual. You start the game.
Your opponet get than the trp and the replay files. Than he save it in the "Save" folder and can load it. He made his order and in the end, he save it. After push on save, the game will automaticly create a csa.ord file (or usa). This one is send back to the host and the host load his side and can than compute the round.

Maybe you get a manual if you patch the game. I'm thinking there is a "doc" folder where a manual should be.

On the front page of the .ageod-forum page http://www.ageod-forum.com/forum.php

Near the bottom of the page under: Other files and downloads
Sub-Forums:

The last entry on the top line is AACW,Latest English manual.

Click it and it will go to download

This is just the standard manual.

Ok, having a problem. I am hosting a game. I have started the game, chose my side and saved the turn as me vs my opponents name. But when i get to C:\Program Files\AGEod's American Civil War\ACW\Saves\ only choice is 1861 April Campaign, then i have 6 backups and a file of 1861 April Campaign Host, 1861 April Campaign~CSA and 1861 April Campaign~USA...

What am i doing wrong?

Your save may be somewhere else (happens on occasion with windows Vista), or your 1861 campaign is the file you need. Check the time and date stamps of the 1861 April Campaign files. If they are when you saved the game, then those are the correct files.

You should enable file extension view in your windows folder and send Campaign~USA.trn (turn info) file to your opponent if you are CSA for example. He makes a move a sends you Campaign~USA.ord (file with orders). Ignore the backups folders.
Hope this helps.
