A Question Regarding the Manual

Could you tell us how in depth the manual will be for A-ACW, ie, will it be more extensive then the manual that shipped with BoA or will it be more along the lines of the revised manual that is available for download here? With the myriad of new options and just the shear scope of this game compared to BoA, my hopes are for a nice, thick, comprehensive manual. I am counting the days down until the release of this game and I am thrilled by all that I have seen so far!

Fantastic! You may very well have the game of the year here. Everything, and I do mean everything I have read and seen about this game has me convinced that it will be even more brilliant then BoA, and that is quite a feat.

No problem, it's at least 10-pt with bigger headings/subheadings
Release date will be tomorrow, but will remain so for some time

That's a lot more honest than most game companies. With no set deadline advertised months in advance, I take it that this is one game that will be released when it's actually finished?

Yep, we still have work to do. Among others:
- Fine tuning of the Historical OoB, economic balance, etc.
- Implementation and testing of the naval blocus mecanisms
- AI Improvements (70% of the lasting work)
- Bug hunting
The team is working hard but we don't want an unfinished or bugged game.

It's a pleasure to wait for something as good as this. (A bit like Christmas!)

I would have to say that the manual for BOA was my least favorite thing about the game. Seemed vague and incomplete in too many areas. I really hope this next title will have some more documentation.
Love the game though.

Definitively, the ACW manual is 55 pages long with tons of details.

Very friendly attitude to potential customers.
Please, if it's a pdf file, make a special print friendly version (Black&Withe)

Today in the wargame industry, the living rules are pretty common. You can download the game and if you like you buy it. About computer wargames, i would say that the advantage is that if published before the release, you can start to read in order to be ready when the game is out but the drawback is that if somebody got the game by piracy, he will have no problem to buy. Some games that are more systems than games have no living rules. (Advanced squad leader comes to mind).
