Refilling Supply Wagons?

I read somewhere in the rules or maybe it was a game tip, shown while the game is processing, that if you move supply wagons back to a large city with a depot they will refill themselves. Is that true? If so do you need to do something, click a button or what ever?

I have 4 wagons in Baltimore and they are not refilling and they have been there at least 3 turns.

Thanks Ethan! But I've had 4 almost depleted wagons in Baltimore for 4 turn and they have not received any supply. Now they are inside the city, should they be outside? What I see is the wagon but it shows about 10% blue and 90% red. Is the red damage? If so then I need replacements.

Addendum;

Yes, it appears I am reading the damage as supply level. The damaged units have 500 men and 400 wagons. A full wagon has 1500 men and 1200 wagons, but both carry 20 supply/ 20 ammo. :bonk: :wacko: :blink:

You may need replacements.
Baltimore has sufficient supply that if they just needed a fill up, they would have by now.

Yes, it's damage. But the damaged wagon's carry the same amount of supply unless it's per wagon in the unit description.

ACW is funny, to me as a student of WIA. Damage in ACW is only fixed with replacements. Only if 'whole' will they fill up as you wish. Replacement supply is costly, but try and a couple and see if this fixes.

Although it didn't apply to you here. There also has to be supply in area for the units to fill up. A good measure is to click on F2 which shows the supply levels (green good to red bad).

A damaged supply wagon carries supplies perfectly. You can be sure. In my games, I never buy replacements for damaged supply wagons and they work fine.

Anyway, try to move your empty wagons to various cities, ie, do not put them all in the same city for supply transport flows properly between cities. ;)

While I think your statement may be true for supply wagon damage, I don't think it's true for combat units. They can also take "hits" which seem to be repaired whether or not you have replacements. But if they take combat damage, then replacements have to be used.

Other readers may have this scoped out more clearly than I do.

Really, you don't need to have undamaged supply wagons. They will fill up totally even if they are damaged. Anyway, you can check this out by looking at supply levels of a damaged wagon and another one undamaged.
