Stalemate?

Wed Jul 27, 2011 11:48 pm

I just finished a full 1861 campaign as the CSA, played out until the very end. The manual states:

"However, if the game ends without reaching an Automatic Victory, the “Victory Points” (VP’s) of each side determines the
winner. The side with more VP’s wins the war"

I had 6,500+ Victory points to the Union's 1,800 something, yet it ended in a Stalemate because neither side controlled the objective territory or something of that nature... But still, doesn't that contradict the manual? What gives?

You will find many such anomalies. It's good to bring them up, but usually the answer will be the equivalent of <shrug>. :)

Well hey, as long as it should have been a legitimate victory and it's not a failure on my part, then I can sleep better. :)

Thanks for the reply.
