slow running

Mon Jun 13, 2011 9:25 pm

hi there,
every quarter i go back to this game, a truly blast and one of my best 3 games ever. however i find a bit frustrated for the long time it takes to run each turn, so playing >2 years takes many hours.
(my pc is quite new though)
i know that there are ways in the setting to speed the processing but reducing the efficiency if the AI. is there any other way of doing it? (without reducing AI's efficiency)

you mean to process the turn once you're done with your orders? I assume you are playing vs the AI. One option is to play vs yourself instead I suppose, or against someone else in PBEM. If your pc is taking more than 30sec - 1 min to process the turn, something is indeed wrong, especially if you don't have more time for the AI checked.

I think that no matter if your PC is quite new, but if your PC is quite powerful.

20-60 seconds is par for the course. If it's taking longer, you might want to close some other programs to free up memory space.
