I was curious about this myself, so I looked up the list of everyone registered on this site by number of posts. This is what I came up with. Its not precise but it gives a rough estimate:

Civilian: 1-4
Conscript: 5-19
Private: 20-39
Corporal: 40-64
Sergeant: 65-99
Lieutenant: 100-149
Captain: 150-198
Major: 200-247
Lieutenant Colonel: 251-299
Colonel: 301-394

General: 501-585
General of the Army: 642-665
AGEod Veteran: 703-728
