Colored Volunteers/Moblization

Mon Feb 21, 2011 3:02 am

I just had these Political options appear in my PBEM game and I am not sure exactly how they work.

My conscription potential is increased and my VPs are decreased every turn while the option is active; if I sign the Colored Mobilization my Conscription potential will be increased 25% per turn. So I assume I would get 25% more conscript companies each turn, taking me from 51/turn to 63/turn. How about with the Call for Volunteers and Mobilization options? I assume the 25% doesn't add up over multiple turns giving me a 100% bonus if I have it active for 4 turns, right? I would only get a 25% bonus if it was active the turn I called for volunteers or draftees?

I think they only affect the yield from drafting, not your turn-by-turn recruitment.

I don't think AACW has any political options that aren't 1 time use only. Nothing should add up turn after turn.

So I just activate that option before I Call for Volunteers or Mobilize and get 25% more men for a few VP's? That makes sense, but doesn't seem completely balanced.

Once you activate it, it stays active- you can't turn it off

The Colored Bdes are displayed in the Reinforcement boxes a Turn or so after you select the option. AFAIK and can tell, they are all two Regmt Inf Bdes. They cost $1 more than their corresponding Caucasian combatants (don'cha just love alliteration?). I'm pretty sure their initial PWR is the same as the corresponding white Bdes.

Useful for fleshing out Divs of 12 - 16 elements, where you want a few more Inf Regmts, or garrison duty.

Just more guys, really. IMO, it's not a difficult decision, go for it. VP hits, NM hits, Inflation, British truculence: all of these are solved by the same remedy - victories in the field.
