Video tutorials

I bought this years ago but only now getting into it. I watched Gettysburg and G&G a few days ago and felt I needed some Civil War gaming, TC2M doesn't work on my Windows7 64 so this is the best I have.

Are there any "let's play" style video tutorials on this game? I always prefered video tutorials to text based ones. I haven't found any yet though.

Just tried the demo and TC2M runs fine here, W7 x64.

What problem do you have?

Not that I do not want you to play AACW :)

Not sure but I believe that there are no video tutorials

I never bothered to install it due to reading about issues on the T2M board but if that is true then great. Off to download patches again :) .

Doesn't stop my interest in this though, gotta get into it somehow. I consider myself a veteran wargamer but this system is one of hardest to learn.

Oh, what I did was just to install the demo and play a bit the tutorial, can only say that it runs as I have never played it before now :)

Regarding AACW post your questions, sure that somebody will answer them ;)

If the demo works I guess I should take a shot.

Anyway, what I am looking for is basically a tutorial that more or less holds your hand the first time, maybe from CSA POV since that seems the challenging side to play. The built in tutorial is quite weak imho (the weak spot of AGEOD games so far, I hope PON betters that).

While they don't have videos the many AARs are very helpful "walkthrus" and they have pictures.

Welcome to the game, hope you like it.

Thanx gchristie,

I did find this after a regular search, maybe good listing somewhere like in the wiki.

This type of tutorial is superior to text.

Ahh, I saw a thread on Wargamer.com about AACW and some people mentioned that a video tutorial would be helpful. I definitely think AGEOD should look into making a couple basic Videos on how to combine forces and form the chain of command at least.

That would be nice. AAR.s is of course a good option and I look for them.

What I would like is this kind of AAR. "My first 10 turns as CSA against AI" type AAR. Basically to learn to the flow of the campaign. Some of the must do's and do not's,
