1864 scenario CSA

I justhad a few questions about this scenario. How hard is it to have Lincoln lose the election of 1864? And what are good opening moves for the South?

Regardless of how the war went: I never had a game where Lincoln was not reelected.
I looked it up in the events file. I didn't find a propability value connected with the reelection event which would mean it always happens. However, I am not an expert at scripting so I may be wrong here.

As concerns opening moves: Try not to starve! Seriously, the supply situation will get desperate quickly.
The numerical disadvantage of the South has reached a point where defense is your only chance to achieve victory in battle. Dig in (preferebly behind rivers) and pray.
Concentrate your remaining forces as much as the supply situation will allow you. You simply cannot defend everything.
Don't waste your money on building new units, you won't be able to feed them anyway; instead invest in replacements.

Good luck!
