cotton embargo reversed?

Mon Sep 27, 2010 1:33 am

I just activated the CSA Cotton Embargo and I am sure the effects worked the wrong way round. I lost the VP's and NM. As for the penalty in the Foreign Intervention Index it was beyond the supposed range of a negative result but just within the range of the possible positive bonus if as I suspect the said bonus was applied as penalty? If this is the case a Quickfix is surely required as without the effects of the Cotton Embargo the chance of Foreign Intervention must be reduced to practically nil! Yee Haa

I have just been browsing and noticed a post by yourself on the 12th of July in reply to a post about the regularity of Foreign Intervention made by BARIS. You posted that Foreign Intervrntion was even more unlikely until one of the events that effects it gets fixed in the v1.16beta, with it currently working in reverse v1.16b4 (it was The 2nd Lieutenants Guide to AACW post11). Which event were you reffering to, I am trying all out for Fi in my second (well my first was not completed)attempt at the April W/Kentucky Campaign. Cheers Yee Haa

Just checked this right now **at the start of a scenario**. The positive bonus range is always smaller than the negative one (ex. if it works it will be +11 to +22, if it doesn't it will be -15 to -30). Thus, I think there cannot be a situation where "it was beyond the supposed range of a negative result but just within the range of the possible positive bonus".

It may be that the ranges who show up later, during gameplay, are messed up...

Huh? The negative and postive embargoe ranges are different. It's 11-22 positive (65%) and 15-30 negative (35%). Barbu is right.
