Quick Story

I suppose this might belong in the AAR section? It's just a quick story...
Playing a CSA grand campaign. It's '61 and Winchester (I was born and raised in Winchester...) Anyway...
I've had Joe Johnston dug in around Winchester pretty much since he became active. McDowell moved to Harper's Ferry and began assaulting Johnston's position in late summer. Athena snuck a couple of Cavalry brigades down to Strasburg Depot, so I had Longstreet come over to protect the supply line.
Every turn now McDowell has launched a massive assault and been defeated by at least 2:1 sometimes 4:1 casualties. In September McClellan joined McDowell and every other turn or so (2 times) after McDowell got whipped McClellan followed a day or two later and got whipped. We both keep reinforcing and the casualties at the close of '61 are 60,000 on the union side and about 20,000 on mine. I'd say that 90% of those (or more) have all been at Winchester. I can just imagine what the fields look like around my old home town...
I wonder what the spring will bring?
Awesome game... these stories within the campaign are just awesome.
