Getting economic numbers to add up...

Hi.

Long time lurker... great game.

Question about the blackboard... is there anyway to get those numbers somewhere? Like, how are they calculated?

It seems the numbers for money, conscripts, etc. don't add up to what's in the ledger or even to a county by county survey. And there's not much I've seen in the way of search other than a bit of talk about "hidden" variables.

What are these variables? I'm a bit OCD  when it comes to gaming and it just drives me bonkers when I can't make 1+1 = 2. Help!?

Thanks my fellow grofazeses... :D

Gray_Lensman wrote:The numbers are affected region-by-region by different factors. For AACW, there are close to 1000 individual regions. That should give you an idea that you are trying to do something that is almost impossible to micromanage. Instead, you should maximize things like control of the regions themselves to increase "production multiple" effects.

Maybe I just needed someone to tell me. I guess I'll have to live life in this case in margins and trends.

Thanks for the quick response sir.

I find that, as Gray said, there's just too many variables. For instance, on a recent turn I ordered a lot of industrialization, and was rewarded with a particular city getting +25 to supply production. When I checked, though, that city was only producing 22 supplies total. So there are differently oddnesses in production reporting, with a lot of variables affecting the final totals, while raw scores (rather than the variable-ized total) are often reported instead. I generally just accept that the ledger is probably most right, and use that for my purchasing efforts. And keep moving on.

Hi!

NM % coefficient (it's shown in the NM tooltip IIRC) affects the production of nearly everything in the game. SO with high NM you will get increased production values and with low NM the other way around. There is also rounding... ;)
Cheers

Ooooooo... NM % Coefficient. I've never really looked at that. That's the kind of detail I dig.

Thanks sir.

And yea... I'm moving on.... I'm trying to learn the game really really well before launching a PBEM request. Hence the study in detail.

Ciao! :)

Don't forget loyalty, which will effect production while varying from region to region

You can learn more from the intellitips. See the link below:

Especially tips 25, and 31. On 25, the pictures have disappeared, but you can get the gist of what was meant.
