PBEM Primer

Wed Sep 09, 2009 2:23 am

Is there, somewhere in these forums, a step-by-step guide for a PBEM-newbie to set up and play a human opponent?

Things like settings in the game ... is it as simple as turning off the AI? Hosting, security, replay, etc. I am so used to AI games, I really have no idea how to approach this ... What is the procedure to complete a turn?

Thanks for any assistance!

Hi! Check out the pbem section in the manual. It's available here It gives a decent overview. Beware if you have Vista :P

Yeah, if you're running Vista, make sure your game is NOT in the Program Files folder. I know this from experience: your saved files will not show up.

I would suggest that you try a couple of PBEM turns against yourself. If you have any problems post and we can try and resolve.

Cheers, Chris
