Replay Viewd Locked or Auto Center on Battle?

Currently the default behavior for replays is for the view to automatically center on battles. However, many prefer to have the view locked so that the player can choose which area to observe. They do so by editing the Display.opt file, as outlined in this thread:
Replay Thread
Pocus has indicated that AGEOD is willing to modify the default if there is an obvious preference. Thus this poll.

i want middle ground

. I would like one turn following the battles round (for pbem mainly) then one turn without.. cant we have a ''view lock'' button? Or will that be a more appropriate suggest for future games.
Anyhow my girlfriend always says im awkward, so maybe shes right.(shameful)

MrT comment has got me thinking that probably free camara mode is best for single play (as you see the turn process which already centres on the battles and events) and the contrary is best for PBEM (at least for the non host player).
Luckyly it can be ste on one or the other by easely modding the sttings file with notepad as explained here
http://www.ageod-forum.com/showpost.php?p=149564&postcount=2
Still, regarding what would be best as default, i think free camera will be best for more people (taking into account all the single players and the host players on PBEM)
Cheers

I only use the replay button when I'm trying to figure out how the heck Jackson got to be beseiging Chicago, or some such thing.

I don't know if its possible, but maybe a better way would to just put a "LOCK CURRENT VIEW" button on the replay control panel.

So is the settings getting changed with the patch or is the topic still ongoing?

Yes, the default will be to not jump for the next patch.
Edit: my bad, the executable has been assembled yesterday and had not the fix... For 1.15 then
