HQ Army formation and seniority?

Is there anyway to get a list of the current leader seniority by seniority in the game. Right now it looks like you don't find out who your most senior leader is until you place an Army HQ with a leader and look at the Form Army tool tip.

How do you determine who is next in line if you can't stand to promote the highest seniority leader?

If you remove an army leader like McDowell to make way for McClellan do you get the Army HQ back? In other words, is there a change in command function?

What happens to McDowell after removal. Does he retain enough seniority to force you to re-use him?

Go to the roster and open the list of generals (the [**] section of the ledger), then click on any general's Seniority rating - the list will then sort itself by seniority.

You could either build a new Army for McLellan and leave McDowell in command of his or put both commanders in the same stack and change command, keeping the Army but paying any command change penalty.

As I remember, by the time McLellan is fired and McDowell can re-take command, there are other officers who rank him.

You both forgot one important information - how to switch to the units roster:
at the bottom of the list of filters is an empty button that toggles between the forces and units view.

Thanks on the information. I will have to wait to try 1.14 since I have an ongoing game.
