No kidding: up until a couple of years ago, she used to get carded when buying wine!

Note for non-Americans: Until a few years ago, in the state of Tennessee, anyone purchasing bottles of wine or beer was required to show proof of age, if the salesclerk had a suspicion that the person might be under 21 years of age. Now, the law has been changed so that
everyone must show ID.
Happy Birthday, Maria!

Now, that my wife has started aging in reverse and I keep getting older ... eventually I am going to have address problem of dating a woman half my age!

There's an easy solution to aging, you know.
I'm kinda surprised that you gentlemen haven't figured it out,
especially since so many of you enjoy computers!
Hex!
You just don't need to
tell everybody that when you say that you're 29 or 41 or 53, you're using the hexadecimal notation system, instead of base ten!
If you're
really getting up there (so that you're starting to get letters from funeral directors and nursing homes and stuff like that,) then this will make you feel a
lot better,
plus you can look people straight in the eye, and announce that you're 41 without batting a lash.
But you know what? You don't
have to use hex. You can use something else (like base 23!), if you want to! I'll never tell, I promise.
Warning: If you're going to use alternative systems for determining your age, do
not use "dog years". This just isn't a good one to use! It makes you feel really, really old. Like, Dixicrat is 248 years old, in "dog years". So stay away from that one, OK?

My goodness he is ancient. Where's his "doggy" cane and walker?

Incidentally, Jim...
I heard that you're only one post away from becoming a commissioned officer, and being eligible to wear yet another medal! I was wondering if you had any thoughts about this, to share with us...

Alabama has done somewhat the same. I think they have the age set at 25 or 30 though. This used to make me feel good,

because I got carded for everything. Now they just look at me and give me whatever without a second thought.

I know what you mean Mark. I started the reverse aging and figured my wife would join in, but no, she kept on with regular years. So I will be in the same boat soon, with a wife twice my age. LOL

Why I had no idea that I would soon become an officer (I already was a gentleman, so I had 50% of the equation accomplished

) Do try to keep Dixiecrat's spirts up about his being so old (in dog years).

Congrats on the promo Jim. Now you will have to change your ribbon bar, with your new medal.
