Renaming fuction

When v1.10 or 1.11 was issued a new fuction cam into being that allowed you to rename units or stacks. Can some one please in form me how this works.

I'm not sure what version it arrived in, but you can rename any stack (except an army stack) by Alt+Left Click. This will bring up the box to type in the name you want for that stack.
